Roots United, Neighbor

<strong>Roots United</strong> is a local clothing brand, born in <strong>Jamaica Plain</strong>. Many years a go, I started designing and selling apparel that represent cultures. The many cultures that still make what Jamaica Plain is today. I started this movement mainly because like most immigrants, I wanted to represent where I am from. The frustration of not being able to find ONE t-shirt that truly represented my country, practically pushed me to create my own.

I saved money while I worked on design ideas and waited for the right summer to come. I bought a van and printed as many t-shirt designs as I could. I bought a cellphone, a stack of business cards, and I hit the ground running. I spent every day of that summer selling t-shirts through the streets of Boston and gave birth to DeezShirts, now <strong>Roots United</strong>.

My passion and drive comes from my love of cultures. I take great pride on designing and creating high quality goods. I hope that my designs continue to touch people’s hearts, make them smile and raise social awareness for many years to come.
