JP's Daniel Rodriguez allegedly committed the crime in Salem in December; Boston Police arrested him Monday.
A Jamaica Plain man who allegedly dragged and ran over a woman on Federal Street last December was arrested by Boston Police Monday, according to Salem authorities. Daniel Rodriguez of 250 Hyde Park Ave. #2 in Jamaica Plain was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and battery, unarmed robbery and operating after revocation on Dec. 29, 2011, but he fled the scene and wasn't located until Monday, Salem Police said. On Monday, Rodriquez was taken in custody in the Theatre District after a brief pursuit, police said. He was then booked in Boston on a warrant and transported back to Salem to face his 2011 charges. Salem Police are asking for the public's help locating a Jamaica Plain man who was charged with attempted murder after police said he allegedly dragged his girlfriend 393 feet on Federal Street before running her over.
