The police bomb unit responded to call a call of a grenade at a Jamaica Plain center apartment.
Police and explosives personnel responded to a Centre Street address after receiving a call that a resident was in possession of a hand grenade Sunday. The resident at 336 Centre St. told police that she’d found a hand grenade at her previous address the morning of Feb. 10. She said she found the hand grenade possibly two years prior, according to a police report. Officers and members of the Explosive Ordinance unit conducted an X-ray of the device and determined it had no explosive components. Police took the hand grenade and would dispose of it at a later date, the report said.
