The sign is in the window of a business at 536 Centre St.
Jamaica Plain is full of hidden gems, even ones in plain sight. Steve Riden (@JamaicaPlain) tweeted a photo he took of the sign in a window next to Planet Pizza, which reads “New Owner and He’s Cute!” The business is near 536 Centre St., and other JP residents on twitter have confirmed that the sign has been here for a few years, it takes a good look to spot it. The streets are looking better, but what about the sidewalks?
Though the streets in Jamaica Plain are looking better, some sidewalks in the community are still snowed under. Robin (@caulkthewagon) tweeted Thursday "97 Green St, Jamaica Plain. Heavy pedestrian and car traffic here: very dangerous unshoveled sidewalk" along with a photo. How's your sidewalk?

Unseasonable warmth here we go.
1. The Uforge Gallery will host a launch party for the Footlight Club's presentation of "Wait Until Dark" Jan. 17, according to Facebook. 2. BD (@BitsByBike) said "@NotifyBoston ALL west side street lights in jamaica plain on Centre from South to at least Pond, have been out for 2+ days..." on Twitter Sunday night. A Jamaica Plain Patch reader asks if the situation will soon be fixed.
With poles and trees still down around the region due to Superstorm Sandy, some structures might be still standing because of the ferocious hurricane. It appears via a Jamaica Plain Patch reader’s twitpic that a broken light pole on Lamartine Street is being held up by trees. @essingmybeesout Tweeted yesterday: “Uhh is this gonna be fixed?” and followed by “193 Lamartine st lamp post being held up by TREES!?!?” Aside from @JPPatch, @essingmybeesout Tweeted at @Boston_Police and @BostonFire with the information.
