A Roslindale man has become the first suspect to be re-arrested on drug charges after being freed because of the evidence-tainting scandal at the State Drug Lab in JP.
Police are warning the convicted drug dealers going free in the JP Drug Lab scandal that there will be zero tolerance if they offend again. But on Friday, prosecutors say, that's exactly what happened. A Roslindale man was held on $100,000 cash bail on new cocaine trafficking charges. The reason he was out of jail was that, in a previous trafficking case, evidence against him had been handled by chemist Annie Dookhan. She's the state employee accused of mishandling thousands of drug samples, including faking test results. Enrique Camilo, 37, was arrested Friday on a warrant at Logan Airport while returning from the Dominican Republic, according to Suffolk County District Attorney Spokesperson Jake Wark. Boston Police recovered about a …

A convicted rapist with outstanding drug charges is now a fugitive from the law, after he was released on lowered bail because of the scandal at the Jamaica Plain state drug lab.
A convicted criminal in Boston is now a fugitive from the law, after he was released on lowered bail because of the recent scandal at the Jamaica Plain state drug lab, according to the Suffolk District Attorney's office. Authorities said that Marcus Pixley, 52, failed to appear in court on Thursday morning on outstanding charges that he dealt several bags of crack cocaine to an undercover police officer in the South End in February of last year. Pixley's bail had been initially set at $5,000, but it was lowered because evidence against him was tested by rogue chemist Annie Dookhan at the heart of a crisis at the Department of Public Health drug laboratory in Jamaica Plain. Although that case is still under investigation, authorities say …

It was announced Monday that Suffolk Superior Court, which handles cases in Boston, will have special court sessions in October to deal with cases in which a so-called "rogue chemist" may have tainted evidence.
The state announced on Monday its latest move to deal with the unprecedented scandal out of the State Drug Lab in Jamaica Plain. Suffolk Superior Court will host a series of sessions dedicated to cases affected by the lab crisis, said Jake Wark, spokesperson for the Suffolk County District Attorney. So-called "rogue chemist" Annie Dookhan is alleged to have tainted evidence in thousands of cases. She was arrested on Friday on charges of obstruction of justice and falsely claiming a university degree. She pleaded not guilty and was freed on $10,000 bail. The Franklin woman is required to wear a GPS monitoring device. The court sessions are expected to be the weeks of October 15 and 22, Wark said. "We are assembling a task force of …

A 19-year-old Jamaica Plain man is being held on $100,000 bond after prosecutors say he popped off a pistol shot while police were in close pursuit, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office. Tyre Wade, 19, was approached by police on Wednesday around 11:15 a.m. in the area of Academy Homes, a public housing complex across from the Jackson Square T. Kristopher Jordan, 24, allegedly ran away from cops on a routine patrol. Along his path of flight, police found a loaded .380 caliber Beretta with the serial number obliterated.
A Jamaica Plain man who led police on a foot chase allegedly told officers he needed an unlicensed, loaded handgun "for protection." The weapon had its serial number obliterated. According to the Suffolk County District Attorney, police approached Kristopher Jordan, 24, of JP as he and another man stood on the steps of 500 Blue Hill Ave. in Dorchester beneath a "no trespassing" sign on Saturday morning about 2:20 a.m. Beat cops, recognizing the men weren't known to them as residents of the building, asked them what they were doing. The men said they were waiting for someone named "Josh" but police said they were allegedly acting nervous and backing away. When police started to arrest them on trespassing charges, Jordan ran away. The other …
