JPNC member Michael Reiskind said at a February meeting Boston Department of Public Works will clean streets in Jamaica Plain one day after they did last year. Currently, trash pickup and street cleaning days are the same in JP, but BPD found that this created a situation in which trash crews would begin to show up too late and street cleaners would show up early, Reiskind said.
