Welcome to 2012! Here's a handy list of what's open (and closed) during New Year's Day. Keep in mind that many places are observing the holiday on Monday, Jan. 2, meaning that while restaurants will be open, government offices will be closed and the T will continue to run on a Sunday schedule.
