Morning Wind Messes Up Commute, Buildings

Downed trees created gridlock during this morning’s commute.

  Trees fell onto major thruways, and protective wrapping came off of buildings due to ferocious winds that swept through the area this morning. The Jamaicaway near Perkins Street was very slow this morning due to a downed tree in the roadway, according to tweets. Michelle Roberts (@MichelleWBZ) tweeted at about 6 a.m.: "Clean up crews are busy this morning! Tree down in Boston at Jamaicaway and Perkins St. Avoid that spot."
