JP Restaurants on Yelp: Who Got Snubbed?

The residents of Jamaica Plain have strong opinions when their favorite restaurants are categorized. See just how strong they are!

Citizens of Jamaica Plain pride themselves on the abundant and diverse eateries and drinkeries in the area. Put them on a list of Yelp bests, and the residents provide several talking points. Last week, Jamaica Plain Patch published an article pointing out Jamaica Plain restaurants that were ranked in the top 10 on Yelp. The community responded with opinions and lists of their very own. All of the "Grandma's old plastic novelties" are part of the charm of the Galway House. There are 100s of faux Irish "Plastic Paddy" bars in Boston to choose from if you don't see enough Irish memorabilia in the Galway House for your liking. The food and drink there are great. The Businesses You Want to See in JP

An Italian restaurant, a crafts store and a butcher shop were among your top selections.

On Friday, we asked readers what new business(es) they'd like to see in Jamaica Plain in 2013. The comments poured in, and while many want to see a new sit-down Italian restaurant open, there were suggestions for other types of businesses as well.
