Sights and Sounds of September's First Thursday in JP
The celebration showed that JP knows how to throw a party. And there's more to come next month.
There was certainly something for everyone at September’s busy and festive First Thursday celebration on Sept. 1. With a touch of fall in the air, crowds thronged Centre and South streets for an enjoyable evening of art, food, music, food, shopping and community. The evening’s many art openings included James Mustin III at The Hallway, where the reception for his show of colorful prints entitled "Chromatics" was held. In some cases, one exhibition per venue was not enough. Curated by Kevin Benisva, the "Ritual" exhibit at JP Art Market/Monumental Cupcakes presented the work of artists Mark Donovan and Olivia Beens.
