Egleston Farmers Market Opens [PHOTOS]

The winter market opened Saturday.

Vendors and participants eager to get local grub went to Lady of Lourdes Parish Hall Saturday for the opening of Jamaica Plain's winter farmer's market. The Egleston Farmers Market served local produce, breads and cookies Saturday morning. “The Egleston Farmers Market is a community-led initiative to make fresh, healthy, locally-grown and produced food accessible throughout the year,” said Market Coordinator and Jamaica Plain resident, Kate Peppard in a statement.  The market, which will open once more this month, twice in December and then once a week through February, was well attended Saturday.
