O'Malley Tells Obama to Go to Doyle's Pub

  District 6 Boston City Councilor Matt O'Malley attended the White House's annual Christmas Party and briefly got to speak with President Barack Obama. "It was a thrill of a lifetime," said O'Malley about the Dec. 18 Washington D.C. party. "We had about 30 seconds to talk to the President and the First Lady. I introduced myself as a city councilor of Boston. And he said ‘I love Boston.’ I said 'We love you. The next time you’re in town I want to personally invite you and the First Lady to Doyle’s in Jamaica Plain.' And he laughed and that was it."
