Police Arrest Jamaica Plain Man Who Allegedly Dragged, Ran Over Victim

JP's Daniel Rodriguez allegedly committed the crime in Salem in December; Boston Police arrested him Monday.

A Jamaica Plain man who allegedly dragged and ran over a woman on Federal Street last December was arrested by Boston Police Monday, according to Salem authorities. Daniel Rodriguez of 250 Hyde Park Ave. #2 in Jamaica Plain was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and battery, unarmed robbery and operating after revocation on Dec. 29, 2011, but he fled the scene and wasn't located until Monday, Salem Police said. On Monday, Rodriquez was taken in custody in the Theatre District after a brief pursuit, police said. He was then booked in Boston on a warrant and transported back to Salem to face his 2011 charges. Cops Seek Man Who Allegedly Ran Over Woman

Salem Police are asking anyone with information on Daniel Rodriguez of Jamaica Plain to contact them. He allegedly dragged his girlfriend along a street with a car and ran over her arm.

Salem Police are asking for the public's help locating a Jamaica Plain man who was charged with attempted murder after police said he allegedly dragged his girlfriend 393 feet on Federal Street before running her over. Daniel Rodriguez, 22, with a last known address of 250 Hyde Park Ave. #2 in Jamaica Plain, has been charged with attempted murder, aggravated domestic assault and battery, unarmed robbery and operating after a license revocation. At 4:54 p.m. Thursday, police said they responded on a report of a woman being dragged by a vehicle. Witnesses said they saw a man beating a victim and dragging her with the car while he was driving. Former International Fugitive Gets Life in Prison for Stabbing JP Man to Death

Patrick Anthony Brown pleaded guilty yesterday to second-degree murder and home invasion in the 1995 killing of Zandera Sullivan.

A man who for the last 15 years had been on the run in Jamaica and several Central American nations was sentenced to life in prison for killing a JP man. Patrick Anthony Brown, 37, admited to stabbing Zandera Sullivan at a Roxbury home in 1995, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's office. Brown's trial was scheduled to start Monday morning. Instead, he pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and armed home invasion. Brown, who also goes by Derrick Malloy, went to the home of his former girlfriend on May 29, 1995, according to the case the DA's office would have made.
