The cupcakes ranged from "Volcano" cupcakes with chili powder to "French Toast" cupcakes topped with bacon.
The nation's oldest community theatre raised about $900 Saturday with an afternoon of delicious cupcakes. For an entry fee of $10 for adults or $5 for kids and Footlight Club members, attendees could graze on as many cupcakes as they'd like. A three-judge panel, which included JP Patch editor Chris Helms, picked winners in the following categories: Winner of the "People's Choice" for best cupcake was a lemon-blueberry cupcake by Tracy Sisco of Desserts by Tracy in Winthrop.
