The Purple Cactus to Re-Open During Blizzard

The Centre Street staple has been closed for about three weeks, but the renovations are done and the burrito shop will be open Friday.

The renovations are finished and a popular Centre Street burrito spot is ready to re-open today. The Purple Cactus will open at 11 a.m. Friday, according to owner Marie O'Shea. The shop "looks great," she said. "We did a lot of work. It's a major change for two and a half weeks." She anticipates having to close at around 5 p.m. due to the potential blizzard, but as of 10 a.m., O'Shea said there are no plans to close. The Purple Cactus closed to make renovations and upgrades Jan. 20.
