Doctor Faulkner Hospital Loses License Over Alleged Patient Affair

A doctor at Faulkner Hospital lost his license after the discovery of an affair with a patient.

The Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine voted to revoke the medical license of a doctor at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital according to WCVB, Channel 5 News. Gary R. Brockman’s license was revoked after it was discovered that he had allegedly engaged in a sexual relationship with a patient. The 1984 graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine had been licensed to practice medicine in Massachusetts since 1988. Brockman has reportedly been given until December 11 to close down his practice at Faulkner Hospital.

The M.D. in question is Dr. Gary Brockington. Sloppy reporting. I can only imagine what else you have reported incorrectly when you fail to get the proper name of the principal involved. On another point (this reader's opinion)...the punishment does not fit the crime. The MA Medical Board should counsel Dr. Brockington, not destroy his life and the lives of his many patients.
