Faulkner May Sponsor JP Hubway Station

To sponsor a Hubway bicycle station, a sponsor must commit $50,000 per year for three years.

Boston’s Hubway bike-sharing system soared in popularity in its second year, and though there is no station in Jamaica Plain yet, there could be one coming soon. Brigham & Women’s Faulkner Hospital is “very interested” in sponsoring a Jamaica Plain Hubway station, Jamaica Plain Business and Professional Association member Michael Reiskind said at a Wednesday meeting. David Goldberg, director of marketing and public affairs for Faulkner, confirmed the hospital's interest via email. "Yes, we are interested in sponsoring a Hubway station in JP," Goldberg wrote. I support bikes..... but the Faulkner is closing it's well-known and well-respected drug and alcohol detox facility. This is bad news for Boston and JP, not to mention the literally 10's of thousands of suffering addicts who's lives have been saved at "7 South" which refers to the floor where treatment takes place.
