The stationMore houses not only Boston Fire Department Engine 28 and Tower Ladder 10, but also the headquarters for Division Two, one of the two groupings into which the Boston Fire Department is split. The station is part of District 9.

The firefighters who man this station round the clock all receive specialized traning in technical rescue. They learn how to rescue people from collapsed buildings, wells, manholes and ship holds.

The ladder truck stationed here has one of the longest reaches in the Boston Fire Department. For every fire in Division Two that reaches two or more alarms, Tower Ladder 10 responds.

Each morning at 8:30am the firefighters hold an equipment check. Children are welcome to attend with their parents or guardians.

For public transportation: The 38 and 39 buses go to the fire house from the Forest Hills station (Orange Line).

This 10,000-seat Art Deco-designed stadium is home for championship events involving Boston Public Schools. It alsoMore serves as home field for schools which do not have their own field. The grass field is the last natural field in the Boston Public School system. The others have been converted to artificial turf. The field has a built-in watering system that keeps the surface green even during dry summers. The full name of the stadium is George Robert White Schoolboy Stadium. A variety of community events also take place here, including the Peace Games and Caribbean Kiddies Carnival. The offices of the Boston Public School's athletic department are located here.
