With prices rising in all industries, I call it the disease of liberal Democrats! And it is theRead More disease that will wipe out civilization!

When taxes are imposed on various industries then to stay in business the prices increase on theRead More consumer! Obamacare , gas taxes, payroll taxes, tolls, the proposed soda and candy tax , your tobacco tax is 75% of what the product really costs! Commercial Property tax increases! Do you people see what's going on here? This country is being destroyed by the Democrats! It is starting to resemble The a Soviet Union! We should change the name of this country to the USSA!

This is good news. I'd love to see the area around the Forest Hills T station get some attention asRead More well, as retail development there appears haphazard and uncoordinated. Some minor beautification and trash cleanup would go a long way. Mayor Walsh and staff: I hope you're reading this.

Tyler - What is the currency used to trade oil futures? The US dollar. When it is weak we pay $100+Read More a barrel of oil. When it is strong, we pay @$60 a barrel. The US administration and fed have way more to do with the price of oil than you know. When they print dollars as they have for the last 5 years, the value goes down. Look at the exchange rates.

Paul......So, did you actually read my comment? It's not a junk store. It's sells food, and everydayRead More products. Even pet foods. So, like I said. It must be nice being rich, and not caring where your money goes. That's half the problem with America. People with any kind of money, could give a crap less about the people with not so much money. Yet. When there's an overseas tragedy, you people are right there with your check books to make a donation because it boosts your yuppy ego, and makes you think that your better than everyone else. So answer me a question Paul? When you go into a store and the product that you want to buy is, say, only .99cents? Do you not buy it, because you'd ratehr pay more for it somewhere else? Just to make you feel superior to the other person that pays .99cents for it? Please. You make no sense.

Sad story, I got my start at the corporate office back when they were in Nashua. Good company withRead More good people back then. I used to smoke butts in the corner office on weekends when nobody was there and then 'test' the marketing department's massage chair. Ah...the good old days...

What are the open positions for? I hope not for more of their pain-in-the-rump door-to-doorRead More salespeople who are constantly trying to sell me some sort of upgrade which I don't need! You almost have to threaten to call the police to get them off of your property!

In fact we need to stop giving our revenue to highly profitable oil companies (in the form of taxRead More breaks); corporations like Walmart who tell their underpaid employees to get aid from taxpayers; and war profiteers who build weapons that we don't need and that don't work, have huge cost overruns.
deb of see-attleboro March 29, 2014 at 11:31 am
I agree, Michael. I also think an individuals lifestyle choices should not determine taxRead More liability.
Rob C March 29, 2014 at 11:36 am
Michael, how are we giving money away to oil companies if we are “allowing” them to keepRead More what is theirs? We ARE giving money, by the truckload, to green energy companies because they cannot survive on their own. Are you equally upset about that? One technically doesn’t cost us anything the other actually does. For the record I am for rewriting the tax code with zero loopholes and tax breaks allowed for all and I also oppose all corporate welfare. If a company cannot survive without being propped up by government handouts then it should not be in business to start with.

Well then if its about the vets, whom deserve it, why would anyone says anything about the wholeRead More LGBTQ thing. Just leave it to the vets and drop the whole we are gay and we are coming. How bout we are vets and we are coming. Like I said before who cares if you are gay, period.
Lyle Ruble March 15, 2014 at 09:08 pm
@Mike Kelly ..... Your message should be directed at the South Boston Allied War Veterans Council,Read More they are the ones who have turned this into a 'hot button' issue. This group will definitely find themselves on the wrong side of history.
Lyle Ruble March 15, 2014 at 09:39 pm
@Mike Kelly ....... I am sorry that you feel inconvenienced by someone speaking up against a stateRead More of discrimination. This has occurred time and time again. People were upset that abolitionists spoke out against the practice of slavery; male white society found it inconvenienced by women's suffrage; business found themselves inconvenienced by not being allowed to employ children; white society was inconvenienced by the demands to stop the plague of racial discrimination; male white society was deeply inconvenienced by the demands by women for equal treatment; and, now we are inconvenienced by members of the LGBTQ Community by their demanding of equal rights and the end to discrimination based on sexual orientation. Therefore, until all humans are granted full and equal rights, then there will always be someone to inconvenience and vex those on the wrong side of power.

Gun Rights: Watch out. You can go blind reading all the MA firearms rules. The two approvedRead More weapons rosters, will drive you crazy too. Some firearms on one roster and not the other. I know of cases where people wanted non-roster firearms transferred and they just had a FFL register the frame with the SN on it. Gun Rights, your are interpreting my post correctly by saying what " CCW holders will often forfeit the battle even though they know they could win". I wish Aspir7n would chime in and personally clarify what is so sad about this. Many unarmed people are just as civilized and under control and will ignore an idiot or incident. I still stand by my original post that armed people are generally more polite. We back off of any situation that could escalate into violence. Gun Rights. As a RI resident I do not think I can loan a pistol to a MA resident or should I say a MA resident cannot be in possession of my pistol. I could be wrong and if so let me know. Not that I would ever do that because it's legal for me to loan my car to anyone but if they get in an accident I will be liable. Same with the firearm. Have a good day all. Spring is coming.

Totally agree with your sentiments, BH. Instead of doing their jobs -- effectively managing theRead More state budget (I know, stop laughing everyone), and rooting out waste, fraud, and corruption at every turn -- the Governor and Democratic-controlled state legislature instead want the easy money, oops, I mean "revenue," that these casinos will (allegedly) pour into the state coffers. Heck, upcoming state budgets are already based on having this casino cash already in hand. That would be like me planning a major purchase today on a bonus I MIGHT receive years down the road. Talk about dumb! If and when casinos do ever get built in this state (remember, folks, this IS Massachusetts, after all) give them just a few years before they all turn into Atlantic City, Part II.
Richard Smith February 25, 2014 at 08:42 am
And in other news, AG Coakley is attempting legislation to forbid casinos from extending credit toRead More people with $800 per month in Social Security and then putting a lien on their homes. That's alright, we'll just put the losers up in public housing. As they say, if you can't spot the pigeon, you're it.
BH February 25, 2014 at 07:46 pm
A bit unrelated and not our problem, but if and when any of these open, it will hurt the CT casinosRead More a bit. They can't be too excited about that (in 15 years when they are finally built)
