Our architect, using the stick style of the original building (1868) has produced a dramatic and artistic addition that maintains the integrity of the original style without duplication. 0ne of the goals of the planners was to make the library into a community center. The handsome and unusual exterior of the building makes it a drawing card. It has become a focal point in the community. “
“ The interior continues the excitement of the exterior. When patrons enter the library for the first time, there is an audible expression of amazement - Wow! The roof beam is high and this gives one the sense of being in a cathedral. One knows one has entered a special place. The high roof feature also makes the rooms very light and airy. No longer is there a feeling of limitations. Yet the interior is warm and pleasant. The new facilities that are now available have expanded our possibilities! But the excitement and warmth of the interior and the impressive nature of the exterior has made the promotion of the library program very easy. “
