The Hennigan Community Center is one of the four locations run by Jamaica Plain Community Centers. It shares a campus with the Hennigan Elementary School and West Zone Early Learning Center.

The center is well known for its pool and gym. The gym hosts basketball, soccer and stickball, among other activities.

Membership in the Jamaica Plain Community Centers allows access to all four locations. However, it should be noted that the Curtis Hall Community Center closed in August 2010 for at least a year's worth of renovations. People who used the pool there can utilize the pool at the Hennigan Community Center instead.
