Akasha Studio offers yoga, Pilates and Tai Chi classes. Instruction in TaiYoPi, a combination of yoga, Pilates and Tai Chi, among other philosophies, is also offered. It is a holistic discipline that involves nutrition methods and other techniques to help practitioners attain well being and inner peace. Tai-Chi is an ancient Chinese combination of mediation, exercise and self defense and is based on flowing, ballet-like movements and meditation. Pilates is an exercise regimen aimed at strengthening the body’s core. Yoga is the ancient Indian discipline of mediation, relaxation, concentration, stretching and breathing. Combined, these practices aim to improve blood circulation, reduce arthritis, enhance sexual life and improve overall health.
