The Jamaica Pond Lantern Parade is in its 30th year, and the weekend event promises to be as vibrant as ever.
The festival is this weekend, both days, at 6 p.m., according to a flyer from Spontaneous Celebrations, the JP organization running the event along with the Friends of Jamaica Pond.
There have been lantern making events at Jamaica Plain businesses all week and there are two more to go:
City Feed & Supply – Oct. 17, from 4 to 7 p.m.
Spontaneous Celebrations – Oct. 18, 6 to 9 p.m.
Both events are $5. The parade’s rain date is Oct. 26.
