VIDEO: Hundreds Celebrate New Curtis Hall

On Saturday, JP celebrated the reopening of the Curtis Hall Community Center, including its gleaming new gym floor.

Hundreds of residents celebrated the reopening of on Saturday. The center, one of the most important public buildings in JP, reopened after being closed for a renovation that totaled $6 million over two phases.

Upgrades include: New roof, new boilers and controls, HVAC work, new gym floor and walking track, electrical and plumbing upgrades, masonry, painting, interior lights, parking lot resurfacing, new outside steps, new teledata equipment, furniture and equipment.  Phase I of the renovation included work to the swimming pool.
