Toughness Not Enough As English Boys Basketball Falls
The Blue and Blue lose to New Mission, 67-45.
Maintaining its intestinal fortitude was not enough for the boys basketball team as the Blue and Blue lost to Boston City (South) League-foe New Mission, 67-45, Wednesday.
“That’s a really good team,” said English head coach Barry Robinson. “They have well-polished individuals. But our guys stayed tough. We didn’t back down.”
With the defeat, the Blue and Blue fall to 6-11 on the season.

Junior Kwame Towsend led English in scoring with 11 points. Teammates Tyrone Williams and Alex Villanueva both netted nine points.
“He played good,” Robinson commented about Towsend. “He was hitting 3-pointers.”

The Blue and Blue season is coming to a close, and they will end it at the Brookline basketball tournament that starts Sunday.
