SNEAK PEAK: Inside the Renovated Curtis Hall Community Center

Take a virtual tour of the massively-renovated community center before Saturday's opening to the public.

For more than a year, JP residents have awaited the reopening of . The center, one of the most important public buildings in JP, r, starting at 11 a.m.

But you don't have to wait to see inside. Thanks to Sandy Holden of Boston Centers for Youth and Families, JP Patch got a tour of the nearly $6 million renovation.

Upgrades include: New roof, new boilers and controls, HVAC work, new gym floor and walking track, electrical and plumbing upgrades, masonry, painting, interior lights, parking lot resurfacing, new outside steps, new teledata equipment, furniture and equipment.  Phase I of the renovation included work to the swimming pool.
