Regan Youth League to Hold Spring Baseball, Softball Registration Saturday

Youth athletes in the Jamaica Plain area looking to play baseball this spring and summer will have the chance to sign up this Saturday. 

The JP Regan Youth League will hold registration for the upcoming season on Saturday, March 22 and Saturday, March 29 for the season that runs from Saturday, April 26 through Saturday, June 28.

Youths can register for the following levels (ages refer to child's age as of May 1, 2014):

• Teeball: 5-6 years old
• Farm: 7-8 years old
• Junior: 9-10 years old
• Senior: 11-12 years old
• Pony: 13-15 years old
• Softball: A team--7-8 years old; AA team--9-11 years old and AAA team--12-14 years old. 

Parents are asked to bring their child's birth certificate to the registration, as well as a check or money order for $40 ($50 for pony league) made out to "JP Regan Youth League". Players will be able to pre-register for the Summer Pony league (ages 13-15) at a discounted rate.

Players can register at the following sites for each devision: 

Daisy Field (at Jamaicaway and Bynner streets)

• Senior: Saturday, March 22 and Saturday, March 29 -- 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
• Junior: Saturday, March 22 and Saturday, March 29 -- 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
• Farm: Saturday, March 22 and Saturday, March 29 -- 1-3 p.m.
• Teeball: Saturday, March 22 and Saturday, March 29 -- 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Parkman Field (Watchusett Street off Walk Hill, behind the church)

• Softball (A & AA): Saturday, March 22 and Saturday, March 29 -- 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.
• Softball (AAA): Saturday, March 22 and Saturday, March 29 -- 1-2 p.m.

Murphy Field (Child Street behind the Agassiz School)

• Pony: Saturday, March 22 and Saturday, March 29 -- 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.
