Birds and Bards Festival

Sponsored by the, the Franklin Park Coalition, Friends of Jamaica Pond, the Emerald Necklace Bird Club, and Mass Audubon's Boston Nature Center, the Birds and Bards Festival is a weekend-long celebration of birds, poetry, and nature. Events today include:

• 8 a.m. - 10 a.m. Morning Bird Walk at the Boston Nature Center
• 12 noon - 2 p.m. Walk and Draw with Mardi Reed at the Boston Nature Center
• 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. The Ideas Behind the Design at the Arnold Arboretum
• 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. “A Bird a Day” Creative Listening Walk & Performance at the Boston Nature Center
