Unlike its previous contest, Jamaica Plain Legion baseball team received strong pitching last Sunday night.
Unfortunately for Post 76, the result was the same as run production failed leading to a 3-0 loss to undefeated Quincy Post 294 in Quincy.
Post 76 skipper Julio Bello said hurler Xavier Feliz threw “four strong innings” allowing three runs, but only one was earned. Jeremiah Dalton came in for relief and “shut them down,” but the damage was already done.
On the offensive side, the batters were unable to find the gaps.
“We hit, but right to them,” said Bello.
The loss drops Jamaica Plain to 3-6 on the young season.
