Classic Cleaners Owner Sells Business in Jamaica Plain
The local business has been running for more than 60 years.
The owner of Classic Cleaners is selling the business after more than six decades in Jamaica Plain.
Owner Mike Pavone sold the business, which has been in place for 61 years, to the Hong Family, which owns Ideal Cleaners in Jamaica Plain and Best Cleaners in Brookline, the Jamaica Plain News reported.
The new owners plan to renovate the business and install upgraded equipment in an effort to "modernize," according to the Jamaica Plain Gazette.

The business was started by Al Pavone in October 1953 and has outlasted several competitors over the years, according to a profile by the Jamaica Plain Historical Society highlighting the business's history.
