Jamaica Plain’s Dodecagonal House

At 17 Cranston Street in JP sits a most unusual 12-sided house with 6-sided rooms. A 1908 Boston Globe article supplies some details about the history of the house and about Archibald and John Scott, two brothers from Scotland who are believed to have built the house from 1871 to 1874. Bob Field, the current owner of the house, will present what he has learned about this wonderful and odd edifice. But there are still things that remain a mystery and he hopes that new publicity might help unearth the answers to some outstanding questions.
