City Councilor Matt O'Malley tweeted at 2:20 p.m.:
Just spoke with NStar. 580 ppl are without power in the Hyde Sq. area of #JP. Estimated time of restoration is 4pm. #BosPoli
The city of Boston tweeted at 1 p.m. Thursday:[POWER OUTAGE] NSTAR reports outage in Jamaica Plain, Centre St area near monument. No further info on total customers or restore time.

NStar's outage map shows that 0.83 percent of NStar customers in Boston are without power as of 1:45 p.m.
There have been sporadic power outages in the neighborhood and around Boston, many have been over night.
