Officials to Hold Forum on Gas Leaks in Jamaica Plain Thursday

Attendees will learn about gas leaks and steps being taken to address the matter.

The Boston Climate Action Network on Thursday will host a forum in Jamaica Plain focused on natural gas leaks in the Boston area. 

The forum will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 15 at the Nate Smith House, 155 Lamartine St. in Jamaica Plain. 

The forum will focus on educating the community on the hazards of natural gas leaks and their environmental implications, as well as actions taken by National Grid and ways the public can engage the matter.

Thursday's meeting will feature a panel of speakers with representatives from the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities, National Grid, Conservation Law Foundation and Clean Water Action.
