Mission Hill Properties Hit with Violations During Move-In Weekend

The city's Inspectional Services Department handed out over 2,000 tickets this weekend.

As the new and returning students flooded the streets of Boston over the course of Labor Day weekend, city inspectors doled out tickets for violations in several Boston neighborhoods, including Mission Hill.

Boston.com reports the Mission Hill neighborhood, near Jamaica Plain, received just under 300 violations issued by the Inspectional Services Department.

Mission Hill was the second most-ticketed neighborhood in Boston behind Allston-Brighton, in which landlords received over 800.

Officials inspected dwellings across the city over the course of the weekend as many students transitioned into and out of area apartments.
