JP Neighborhood Council Nomination Packets Available

The election will take place Oct. 19.

Those interested in being elected to the Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Council have until the beginning of September to collect signatures.

The Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Council has made available its candidate nomination packets, which those interested can download from the neighborhood council website and the Jamaica Plain Library branch, Connolly Library and Egleston branch as well as Curtis Hall.

Interested candidates who want to run in a specific neighborhood (A, B or C) must get 25 signatures, and those looking to run “at-large” must obtain 50.

Those eligible must be 16 years old or older as of Election Day, Oct. 19, and listed on the most up-to-date list of Boston residents or they must run a business in Jamaica Plain.

Nomination papers are due to be returned in person at the Jamaica Plain branch library, 12 Sedgwick St., by 5 p.m. Sept. 6.
