'JP Has Had My Back All The Way Through' — Elizabeth Warren Stumps at Doyle's

Democratic Senate hopeful Elizabeth Warren stopped by Doyle's on Tuesday amid a throng of enthusiastic supporters.

She greeted sign-holders outside the historic bar, which has a long history of hosting politicians. The law professor and consumer advocate posed in the driver's seat of truck fitted out with big Elizabeth Warren signs in the bed. JP Realtor Stephen Lussier, the owner of the truck, said the vehicle is a counterpoint to Senator Scott Brown's iconic truck.

Once inside Doyle's, Warren was pressed into service as a "bartender," pouring a Guiness stout and a Harp for the crowd.

Boston politicians warmed up the crowd with brief speeches. Speakers included City Councilors Ayanna Pressley, Felix Arroyo and Matt O'Malley.

All of them urged the gathered Warren supporters to volunteer in the 14 days remaining until the Nov. 6 election.

Warren stood at the bar and made a brief speech. She thanked Jamaica Plain for its role in convincing her to run, back when she was making a tour of the living rooms of Democrats around the state.

"JP has had my back all the way through," Warren said.
