Even hard core Dems and the most seasoned of pols need inspiration from time to time. Governor Dukakis never disappoints. I am inspired every time I am in his presence. He remains as accessible, genuine, passionate, and as insightful, as ever! At this morning’s MA Delegation breakfast, he shared a story about door knocking for Elizabeth Warren with Kitty. He recounted a recent experience where the prospective Warren voter remarked, “I’ll consider voting for Elizabeth Warren, but can you please get her to do something about her hair?” The Governor quickly replied, ” “Really? You know, I’ve been in politics for 55 years, and NO ONE has ever commented about or asked me to change my hair. Elizabeth Warren needs your vote, and we need her in Washington”. There is only one Duke.
