Woman Accused of Defrauding One Fund Arrested

This is the second person arrested for allegedly attempting to receive payment via the One Fund, a fund established for victims of the Boston Marathon bombing.

Police from Massachusetts and New York have arrested a woman who attempted to fraudulently collect money from the One Fund, a fund set up for victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.

Andrea Grause, 26, of Troy, N.Y., was arrested near her home Friday on a fugitive warrant, according to Boston.com.

Grause claimed through paperwork filed with the One Fund that she had suffered a traumatic brain injury in the April 15 attack, according to the site. But investigators found she had allegedly filed false documentation that she had been to an area hospital.

Grause was attempting to collect $480,000, according to Boston.com.

Branden Mattier was arrested in early July for allegedly attempting to defraud the One Fund of $2 million.
