Transit Police Investigating Monday Shooting at Stony Brook Station

The victim sustained a non life-threatening gunshot wound.

The MBTA Transit Police Department is investigating a non-fatal shooting that took place Monday night at Stony Brook Station on Lamartine Street in Jamaica Plain. 

Several Transit Police officers responded with Boston police around 8 p.m. on Monday to the station, where they located a 23-year-old male victim suffering from what appeared to be non life-threatening gunshot wound. 

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital by Boston Emergency Medical Services. The incident, police said, took place near the entrance to the station, police said Monday night

The incident remains under investigation, and anyone with information regarding the matter is asked to contact the Transit Police Criminal Investigation Unit at 617-222-1050. Information can also be submitted anonymously by texting tips to 873873.
