Suspect Arrested After Church Break In

The following police arrest information was supplied by the Boston Police Department. Arrest does not indicate a conviction.

An Arlington man was arrested after officers found him inside St. Thomas Aquinas Church during the early-morning Friday.

Joe Maloof, 31, was charged with breaking and entering in the nighttime and possession of heroin Feb. 1, according to the Boston Police News blog.

Police responded to the church at 97 South St. at 3:07 a.m. There they found a broken window on the basement level, a shovel on the ground near the window and interior lights on inside the church, according to the blog. They located Maloof inside upon entering the church.
