Smoking and Drinking at Forest Hills Station Leads to Arrest on Assault With Intent to Murder Charge

A man's decision to smoke and drink on MBTA property brought the attention of Transit Police — who discovered the man had a warrant out for assault with intent to murder.

Transit Police noticed a man smoking a cigarette and drinking a 40-ounce on a retaining wall at Forest Hills Station on Thursday around 9:35 p.m.

Smoking and drinking on MBTA property is against the law. According to transit police, the man gave a fake name when being written a citation for smoking.

The man had said he didn't have any ID on him, but cops noticed what looked like a wallet in his back pocket. It was a wallet — and one that had ID showing his real name. Police ran a check of the name and learned he had a warrant out of Chelsea for aggravated assault with intent to murder. Ronaldo Taylor, 39, of Roxbury, was placed in custody over the warrant and given a citation for smoking.
