[UPDATED 3 p.m.] Police Searching For Armed Robbery Suspect

Police are responding to a report of an armed robbery at the store on Centre Street, according to Officer James Kenneally.

Scanner reports indicate the suspect held the clerks at gunpoint before fleeing on foot. Police received the report at 12:15 p.m. today, according to Kenneally.

Also, one clerk was locked in a back room, according to scanner reports, but all of them were unharmed.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 40s, wearing sunglasses and all white clothing, according to Kenneally. Prior scanner reports put the suspect at 6 feet tall. He displayed a silver handgun during the robbery, according to scanner reports.
