Power Outages Reported on Chestnut Avenue: Is Your Power Back?

Wires were brought down, according to scanner reports, with at least 10 Chestnut Avenue homes losing power.

According to scanner reports, wires are down in the Chestnut Avenue area. At least 10 homes were without power when the incident happened around 10 a.m. Chestnut Avenue residents — if you're reading this on battery power or your cell phone, let the neighborhood know if you're still without power.

WHDH reports the outage was caused when an 80-year-old oak that was rotted all the way through fell on power lines and crushed a car.

JP resident and Patch restaurant reviewer reported at 12:19 p.m. that power was back at her residence.
