Officials to Review City Ordinances on Fighting Graffiti in JP

Residents who wish to learn more about noise and graffiti issues are invited to a meeting on Thursday.

The Strategic Planning Action Team 2 will meet on Thursday in Jamaica Plain to discuss several quality of life issues for Jamaica Plain residents, including noise and graffiti. 

The group, which focuses on the quality of life, including noise and graffiti issues, will discuss ways to use Boston city ordinances to fight graffiti and also review instances of new graffiti in the Jamaica Plain area. 

The team also plans to discuss enforcement strategies for noisy parties, as well as for cars and motorcycles, in addition to brainstorming ideas for improving the enforcement of a storefront sign law.

The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 10 at 6 p.m. at the Boston Police E-13 Station, 3347 Washington St. in Jamaica Plain.
