Man Arrested in Roxbury Homicide Lives Just Outside JP

The homicide also took place near JP, on Homestead Street in Roxbury.

The city's latest homicide took place just outside JP in Roxbury and led to the arrest of a man who lives on Parker Street just outside JP.

Yesterday, around 5 pm, a 28-year-old man was shot at Homestead Street and Walnut Avenue in Roxbury, just outside JP. That man was taken to Boston Medical Center for treatment and there was pronounced dead, according to Boston Police.

Police were looking for a suspect described as a black male with dreadlocks halfway down his back, wearing dark blue pants and a puffy black NorthFace jacket, according to scanner traffic.

Police evacuated other persons out of the surrounded building further down on Homestead. When police entered the building to search for the suspect, they could not find anyone, according to scanner traffic.

Police arrested James Allen, 22, of 950 Parker St. and charged him with murder.
