Jurors Visit JP Convenience Store Where Clerk Was Slain

The murder trial of Ed Corliss continued with a "view" of the crime scene. He is accused of gunning down Tedeschi store clerk Surendra Dangol in December 2009.

Jurors took a bus to Jamaica Plain today to view the crime scene where someone gunned down clerk Surendra Dangol.

It was the third full day of the trial of Ed Corliss, 65, whom prosecutors say is the disguised man in a surveillance video of the robbery and murder.

The murder shocked JP residents, coming two days after Christmas in 2009. Dangol, an immigrant from Nepal, cooperated with the robber but was shot anyway.

In previous testimony, the Globe reported, JP resident Christopher Jepson recalled finding the dying clerk. Jepson, a social worker, performed CPR on Dangol.

Corliss' attorney argues the murderer in the surveillance tape is not his client, claiming Corliss is much shorter, the Globe reported.
