Judge Denies Request to Dismiss Assault Case Against Arc-En-Ciel Daycare Director

The head of in Moss Hill continues facing charges she tried to run over parishioners of her host church and threaten its priest.

Monday, a West Roxbury District Court judge denied a motion by the attorney of Linda Chery-Valentin to dismiss the case, Suffolk County District Attorney's office spokesman Jake Wark said Wednesday.

The judge continued the case until Aug. 23, Wark said.

"Many members of the parish where the incident happened showed up in support of the victims," Wark said.

In May, Chery-Valentin, 46, of Natick to two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and one count of assault and battery. She is accused of trying to run down parishioners of Our Lady of the Cedars and threatening the church's priest. There's an ongoing dispute over the school leasing out space in the church.
