Girl Struck by Swerving Ambulance on Washington Street

The girl was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

An ambulance with lights on and sirens blaring swerved to avoid a 12-year-old girl on Washington Street Sunday afternoon, but ended up hitting her before crashing into a parked car.

According to a Boston Police news post: a woman let her daughter out of a car at 3704 Washington St. around noon. As she crossed the street she was struck by the ambulance, which was on its way to an emergency call.

Police issued have not issued citations in the crash.
