Garage Collapses on Clive Street; No One Injured

Heavy snow claimed another JP building today, collapsing a garage at 27 Clive St.

No one was injured in the structural failure, according to Steve MacDonald, a spokesman for the . It was the second such failure in JP since on Wednesday.

A car was under the wreckage at 27 Clive St. MacDonald said that the fire department quickly turned the scene over to the once they determined no one was hurt.

In the first 48 hours after the Feb. 2 storm, more than 80 buildings across the state suffered collapses or stuctural weakness, according to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency. That toll continues to climb, although no major injuries have been reported as a result of any of the collapses so far.
