Former Coworker Stabs, Bites Man on Centre Street
A man told police a former coworker attacked him. He was stabbed in the abdomen and bitten on the right forearm. His injuries weren't life-threatening.
A fight between former coworkers left a man with a stab wound to his abdomen and bite marks on his right forearm.
Police were called to Gay Head and Centre streets at 12:04 p.m. on Tuesday for a reported stabbing, said Police Officer Nicole Grant. Transit Police told them a man had come running toward them on Centre. They'd thought the man had robbed someone.
But the victim said he'd been in a fight with a former coworker outside Edianis Market at 331 Centre St. Police said the man had a laceration on his abdomen and tooth marks on his right forearm.

Police quickly arrested a suspect. He told a different story — that the victim had attacked him outside the store.
The victim was taken to Brigham & Women's Hospital and treated for non life-threatening wounds.

Police arrested Elmer Aviles, 26, of Jamaica Plain. He was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
